Three words that have come to make my hair stand on end. Here is Mary-Kay Wilmers, editor of the London Review of Books (via Norm):

“I’m unambiguously hostile to Israel because it’s a mendacious state. They do things that are just so immoral and counterproductive and, as a Jew, especially as a Jew, you can’t justify that.”
And then, this:
“What Cherie Blair said about being a suicide bomber if she’d been brought up in Gaza, I can absolutely see that point.”
So that makes sense: You can’t, “as a Jew,” justify Israeli mendacity, but you can, “as a Jew,” wink at the deliberate slaughter and maiming of Israeli civilians.

Most sausages are way too salty, they do things to the digestion that are just so counterproductive and, as a jew, — nay, ESPECIALLY as a Jew, I just can't justify rolling that way. However, I can justify your love…
